The Colorado altitude is proving to be awfully friendly when it comes to the 250 Yamahas. We all know they have proven all season to be the fastest bikes on the track and at Thunder Valley this morning, 5 of the top 8 riders were on the Blu Cru. The Star rookie Thrasher came out swinging in the first session with a 2:10.607 but when the track got rougher and ruttier in session 2, his fastest time dropped off 2 seconds into the 2:12s, which is pretty standard. Like most tracks, the second session is usually the true test of race track conditions. Also, 7 of the top 12 in the 250 combined sessions are HOT riders today. Make note.

450 times are in the book as AC lays down a heater of a 2:05.336, over a second faster than Baggett who qualified 2nd with a 2:06.384. Is Blake back today? After two solid rounds in a row at RedBud2 and Millville, the number 4 was merely a top 10 rider in the Florida sand. Hometown hero Tomac was anything but impressive with a 6th, altho, as we have seen before, Eli doesnt necessarily need a fast lap to pull off a couple moto wins. Only HOT rider inside the top 10 is former Lakewood winner, Justin Bogle. Needless to say Bogle has had a rough year with rumors surrounding this could be his last season of racing. Either way, a fan favorite, its always good to see him feeling some cofidence and running up front. Two of the other HOT favorites, Noren & Anstie struggled a bit but as usual, are right there on the fringe of bonus points as they qualified 12th and 13th. Husky privateers Masterpool and Bloss round out the top 15 as we get ready for the gate to drop on moto 1 at 2pm CST. Good luck!
